Augmented reality with robotic assistant for improvement of learning in primary school children


Abstract:

Education constitutes a means for the development of a society, that’s why it is necessary to contribute to the continuous improvement of instruction, principally in the first levels of education; for which a system of Augmented Reality (RA) with robotic assistant is proposed; the augmented reality is to combine the real environment with virtual elements, a set of educational games based on this type of technology has been developed, where children, besides having fun playing, can learn and reinforce the knowledge they acquire in class. This is complemented by a humanoid-looking didactic robot, capable of providing the instructions of the games, synchronized movements and expressions. The development of the system allows the introduction of a didactic support tool to improve children’s learning. 1cm.
