Abstract:

The implementation of this project, “Automation Control to the Industrial Automation Laboratory” arises from the need of a means to control the entry of students in extracurricular schedules, so that they can use the infrastructure and equipment available at this laboratory for study and research purposes. The proposal was to create a system of automatic access via a virtual instrumentation scheme built with LabVIEW ®. Our choice was made considering the benefits offered by this system. The main advantages are the ease of use that can be provided to the user and the speed and simplicity of testing and implementation processes. It was determined that the system should have two conditions to provide some level of security. These conditions are: Control the entry of people already registered in a database (Excel), and Restricting access by set times (Excel). The result of this application is a system of automatic access to the Industrial Automation Laboratory, in order to provide a faster service, with more efficiency and control at the time of entry to this laboratory.
