Auxiliar Prototype for Physiotherapy Using Kinect


Abstract:

The people with some type of disability in the Ecuador and in the world is increasing due to the fact that it is not a condition only biological, if not that depends also on environmental factors, accidents or chronic diseases. The physical therapy is one option to improve the mobility and the living conditions of the patients. The virtual reality with alternative systems that he is in the field of the video games to realize the capture of movements, develops a prototype that serves of hopes for therapists and patients in processes of physical rehabilitation, which consists of an application that takes charge extracting the information that obtains the sensor Kinect. The procedure is realized by programming in C# and the information of east of the meeting is stored in a database to be recovered from a web application in which the therapist could visualize the fulfilment of the rehabilitation.
