BIOLOGÍA FLORAL Y POLINIZACIÓN DE Avicennia germinans y Laguncularia racemosa EN GUAYAQUIL 2019 - 2020
Abstract:
The present document has studied, the floral biology, the pollination and the beahvior of the floral visitors, in Avicennia germinans and Laguncularia racemosa, which are part of the most representative mangrove species inside this ecosystem area called the Mangrove of the Estero Salado of the city of Guayaquil. Several field trips were carried out to collect samples which were tested in the laboratory, the results from A. germinans indicates that the nectar production is through glandular trichomes, meanwhile; in L. racemosa occurs through a pair of nectaries, it is also inferred that there is a synchronization in its reproductive system for both species of mangrove. Pollination is a entomological form, since it was determined that Apis mellífera is the main pollinator for the two mangrove species, in L. racemosa was reported Paraneda pollidula gluticollis as a secondary pollinator, a total of 23 floral visitors were registered for A. germinans and L. racemosa.
