BUSINESS MODEL OF FINANCIAL INCLUSION THROUGH NON-BANKING CORRESPONDENTS IN THE CITY OF GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR
Abstract:
The objective of this study is to show the evolution of banking correspondents in Ecuador and how their growth has become an investment mechanism of several entrepreneurs, contributing to financial inclusion in the country through access to banking services without having to move to a financial institution. For the development of the objective, an inductive and deductive methodology with documentary review and field research was used, using a data survey method applied to 384 citizens of the city of Guayaquil using a simple random sample since the intention is not to differentiate the results among population groups but rather describe the utility of the correspondents in the individuals. The results show evidence that despite not being familiar with the correspondent term, almost 70% have ever used the service because it is believed that a key aspect is the speed of transactions made.
