Bandages therapeutic textiles with natural extracts: A review
Abstract:
Textile bands are usually used in compression therapies; They are of special interest because dosing a drug administered percutaneously, allowing the active ingbkp_redient to get faster to the blood compared to oral, and with less risk of infection as compared to intravenous. There are review articles that collect technological progress on therapeutic bands, also have been reported proportioning bands active plant. The aim of this review is to describe the technological advances of therapeutic bands proportioning and potential employment of Ecuadorian plant extracts in them, so that you can identify the technological problems that have prevented resolving the limited use of biodiversity national. a comprehensive literature search was conducted in scientific databases prestige, and found that there are 3,118 species of medicinal plants in Ecuador, grouped into 24 categories according to the therapeutic use; which coincide with the uses of therapeutic bandages, which implies the feasibility of their use together to mitigate the problem of access to conventional health by people with low purchasing power and rescue ancestral knowledge.
