Bank of genetic resources Auricularia spp. For industrial purposes
Abstract:
Auricularia spp. has broad industrial potential due to its nutritional and medicinal properties. Obtaining viable and pure strains of this genus has been seen limited by a merely macroscopic identification of species and the utilization of both inadequate mediums and inadequate conservation techniques. The objective of this review was to describe the process of obtaining pure and viable strains of the genus Auricularia spp. from the natural environment, to highlight technical data that facilitate the establishment of banks of fungal genetic resources. These fungarios are an alternative for preserving the fungal biodiversity of Ecuador and obtaining pure and viable strains. This is achieved with good practices of phenotypic and genotypic identification, isolation on selective medium to avoid competitive inhibition by other microorganisms, conservation and storage of species by freezing, lyophilization, peal or immersion in inert liquids such as water or oil mineral.
