Basic soil properties for simulation and the consequent need for an operational soil data base.

Abstract:

Land qualities that are correlated with the soil-water behavior are treated in particular. The possibility of obtaining soil parameters on a regional scale is discussed. The correlation of these soil parameters with the soil units of the Belgian soil map, possibly supplemented by additional field data, seems to be the only practicable solution. -from Authors
