Behavior of low energy fast plasma focus devices as DD fusion neutron sources
Abstract:
The behavior and optimization of a fast low energy plasma focus in repetitive mode as a neutron source are studied. The methodology for measurement of the neutron yield is revised, and definitions of equivalent quantities to the neutron intensity for the case of pulsed sources are discussed. The shot-to-shot distribution associated to the neutron production is modeled theoretically, these models are compared with experimental results.
