Biorremediación de suelo contaminado con hidrocarburos por derrames de la estación de servicio en el campamento de Guarumales-CELEC

Abstract:

In the present investigation we evaluated the effect of organic matter (Compost) and Biosurfactant (Humic Acid) for the bioremediation of sediments contaminated with hydrocarbons of the Fuel Service Station of the Guarumales - Hidroeléctrica Mazar - CELEC EP - Ecuador camp. These sediments are the result of the progressive deterioration in the underground tanks of the Guarumales camp's service station, which have caused gasoline percolations to the surface of the site. For the development of the bioremediation process using the compost technique, 4 treatments (T1, T3, T5, T7) were proposed with their respective repetition T2(RepetitionT1), T4(RepetitionT3), T6(RepetitionT5) y T8(RepetitionT7). The investigation also has two plots will serve as witness. The treatments have high and low doses of surfactant, and organic matter. This research started with an average value of 21958 mg/kg HTP and presents a final concentration average value of 2423.50 mg/kg HTP, reducing 19534.50 mg/kg HTP with T1 (Organic Matter 6 lb + Surfactant 4 lb), being the most efficient treatment with 88.96% during the investigation. In the other hand, concentrations of Pb started with an average value of 54.50 mg/kg Pb and shows a final concentration average value of 69.50 mg/kg Pb, increasing 15 mg/kg Pb with T1, being the less efficient treatment during the investigation. In the control plots, HTP´s concentrations shows a final concentration average value of 6747.50 mg/kg, reducing 15210.50 mg/kg HTP during the investigation; however, Pb´s results show a final concentration average value of 88 mg/kg Pb, increasing 33.50 mg/kg Pb during all the investigation.
