Blockchain: A means of security, cost reduction and error identification for Ecuadorian organizations

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficiency of Blockchain as a security measure, cost reduction and identification of errors through an investigation of the state of the art of said technology that can serve as a guide for Ecuadorian companies. Likewise, it contributes to the analysis of the development of Blockchain in the last five years, as well as its use through a simulation platform that allows understanding the operation of the stages corresponding to the blockchain. The research is bibliographic-documentary, using a meta-analysis as an inquiry method, which, according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, provides adequate information on the subject. A technical comparison of two organizations was developed whose difference between them was the use of Blockchain for data management, through technical reports from said organizations or statistical portfolios. The results made it possible to determine the regions, years and trends regarding the market and profitability of the blockchain, as well as its possible adoption in Ecuadorian companies. It concludes, in a deployment of technology where the steps to follow to use Blockchain in an organization are described, with informative and educational material for individuals or companies that wish to enter this world.
