Buenas Prácticas: Siguiendo A Don Bosco

Abstract:

This document aims to show the work that hundreds of students encouraged by the GASOL group did supported by faith, their knowledge and the Systems/Computer Science Career that gave the endorsement to the seven projects carried out. Each one of them had the purpose of contributing through the sharing of knowledge, since it empowers society, transforms it, nourishes it, makes it imagine and dream of better days. Technology at the service of society is what is evident in the development of the projects described in these pages in a simple way. The topics covered include recycling, free software, ICT for the inclusion of people with disabilities, and those deprived of liberty. Proposals aimed at older adults, academic support for young people with disabilities, ICTs for children, youth empowerment, among others. With the story of the experiences of the GASOL group, the reader will be able to travel with the group to various places and sectors of the city of Guayaquil where Salesian association activities have been carried out. Good Practices: following Don Bosco comes to their lives to say that more actions are urgently needed to empower society through knowledge to face these times of pandemic.
