CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF UNIVERSITY REFORM IN LATIN AMERICA
Abstract:
University Reform is the name given to political-cultural or public policy movements aimed at reforming the structures, contents and purposes of the university. For Latin America, this movement began in the Argentine city of Cordoba in 1918. The article describes the most significant facts of the struggle of students and professors for their rights and analyzes the economic, political and social causes that make it possible to speak today of a before and after Cordoba when referring to the history of the Latin American University.
