CENTRO COMUNITARIO INFANTIL “EL JARDÍN” UBICADO EN MONTE SINAHÍ, GUAYAQUIL

Abstract:

In Monte Sinahí sector located northwest of the city of Guayaquil, the residents lack the necessary equipment due to the lack of attention from the corresponding authorities, the authorities. The purpose of Centro Comunitario Infantil “El Jardin” located in Monte Sinahí, Children’s Community Center is to provide a space in which children can attend and be cared for to meet their needs as children, including large, comfortable spaces, designed based on studies that encourage imagination of them, green areas that beautify their surroundings and that parents get involved in the daily lives of children through workshops directed for them as well. In order to obtain fundamental information on how to approach the design of a children’s community center in Monte Sinahí, interviews were conducted, including the architect Daniela Hidalgo who has worked for several years with workshops in contact with the community, also interviewed the community leader Mrs. Lidia Cabrera who provided data such as the number of children, activities they carry out and what the environment of the sector in which the project will be considered is like, these interviews plus the bibliographical research helped to specify important information that contributed significantly to the design from the center. The concept of the project is based on the integration of the community through a friendly space that, in addition to serving as a social aid facility, provides recreation and integration areas to improve the quality of life of the residents. Although it is true that a children’s community center is not going to solve the problems that residents face in their daily lives, it can improve their quality of life, form bases in children that will encourage them to be good people when they grow up, childhood It is fundamental in the development of a human being’s life. Children with happy childhoods are healthy and responsible adults with society.
