Abstract:
Concerns about the state of global health have contributed to a progressive operational update of the concept of health-related physical activity (PA) in paediatric populations. In addition to the value of a complete classification of the several organic system markers and cardiometabolic profile, importance is given to various mental health indicators associated to psychological well-being (WHO, 1995). For this reason studies that associate health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and physical fitness indicators (PhF) have received more attention in the last years (Cumming et al., 2011). There is consensus that the components of PhF are solid indicators of health status in children and adolescents (Malina, 1995).
