COMPETITIVENESS IN MICRO-CREDIT PLACEMENT BY CREDIT UNIONS IN SANTO DOMINGO

Abstract:

The evolution of microcredit placed by savings and credit cooperatives in Santo Domingo since they are governed by the Organic Law of Popular and Solidarity Economy which is the popular and solidarity financial sector allowed to know about the importance of microcredit and its relevance in the dynamization of the local business economy, The objective was to measure the degree of competitiveness in the placement of microcredits of the savings and credit cooperatives belonging to segment 1, a mixed research approach was considered using the analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive methods, with the descriptive explanatory technique. This information gathering process used research techniques such as surveys, review of documents obtained from financial statements. The information obtained was classified, organized and tabulated for an accurate interpretation, the procedure applied was of an intentional non-probabilistic nature, and the study units were considered as Savings and Credit Cooperatives in Santo Domingo of segment 1 that grant microcredits in order to subsequently order the information. The results served to make an evaluation of the competitiveness generated by the placement of microcredits, which reflect that innovation and development, the processes of recruitment, selection and training of personnel, knowledge of competition, as well as interest rates and customer awareness of a correct financial education are key points to be competitive in the market.
