CONSERVATION AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM OR TOURISM AS A CONTRIBUTION TO CONSERVATION
Abstract:
This article puts to the debate the term "sustainable" and its complexity, allows breaking paradigms when facing the process to establish local development strategies, approaching new approaches based on the indigenous worldview and its reading of nature as an agent of development and wealth for them and the ancestral groups. This term is new and is used in the different political discourses, the abuse of the concept has created false expectations in the imaginary of the communities, which in the short term do not achieve sustainability.
