CUBAN ANTI-HEPATITIS B IMMUNOGLOBULIN WITH DIAGNOSTIC AIMS IN VIVO.
Abstract:
With the objective of increasing the immune response to the HBsAg we have used the Cuban anti-hepatitis B immunoglobulin in human chronic reservoirs of the virus. The great neutralizing activity of the product allows us to propose it as a diagnosing element where doubts exist in the interpretation of the analytic base, using it on patients who do not have enough criteria to classify them as reservoir or immune. This also allows us to propose it for prophylactic use in liver transplant for HBV. To measure the titles of obtained antibodies we used the double-antigen Sandwich-type quantitative enzymatic immunoassay developed by the Department of Immunology of the ICBP" Victoria de Girón". In chronic reservoirs no undesirable response has been obtained. Farmacokynetics modifies itself in them in terms of Gamma globulin consumption, this not happening in immunes.
