A real alternative for producing solar electricity: The CPV. current state of CPV: A review

Abstract:

Concentrating PhotoVoltaics (CPV) is showing a growing trend in the energy market as a consequence of the big investment made by the Photovoltaic industry. The working principle of CPV systems is based on the use of optical systems to increase the solar light received by solar cells, with the idea of incrementing the efficiency of the whole system. In this book, the authors will make a review of all of many of these topics in the CPV field, in order to demonstrate that this new technology is one of the most promising technologies for producing electricity in a near future.
