Calidez y calidez educativa: estrategia para el perfeccionamiento del desempe?o profesional pedag?gico desde el proceso de evaluaci?n docente en la Unidad Educativa Republica del Ecuador
Abstract:
The quality and warmth in the Ecuadorian Educational System is a principle that is been consolidated since several years ago. For this purpose, different educational policies, such as the implementation of the standards of educational quality have been settled down. These standards intend to regulate the appropriate performance of the actors of the educational system, the teachers? performance among them. For this reason, they establish performance criteria that regulate their work in the educational practice starting from their pedagogic competences. The regulation of the teachers? performance is conceived from an evaluation process implemented by each educational institution. The present investigation aims to determine the incidence of the educational evaluation in the improvement of the pedagogic professional performance of the teachers from the ?Unidad Educativa Rep?blica del Ecuador" and to propose a strategy that contributes to this improvement for the betterment of the educational quality and warmth. The paradigm followed in the research is the socio critical one due to the qualitative nature of the assumed approach. The techniques and instruments used for the data collection were guided to the identification of the particularities of the process of educational evaluation and their incidence in the improvement of the pedagogic professional performance of the teachers of the institution. These facilitated to specify a series of inconveniences related with the construction, development and execution of the process. In correspondence with the assumed theoretical approaches and the definition of the object of study, a proposal of a strategy for the improvement of the conception and application of the process of educational evaluation from a systemic and systematic character for the valuation and the development of the pedagogic professional performance was elaborated. Based on expert assessment, the strategy that is being proposed can be considered valid according to relevancy criteria and applicability in the context for which it is being proposed since it can contribute to the improvement of the educational quality of the institution.
