Capital social para la sostenibilidad de las organizaciones. Una aproximación desde el enfoque de Recursos Humanos. Estudio de caso: NURTAC

Abstract:

This paper explores the situation of social capital in civil society organizations specifically in the medium foundations that have been at least 10 years in the Ecuadorian social market. A qualitative research approach supported by a quantitative technique identifies the sustainability of these non-profit organizations, their alliances, networks and most significant strategies for the development of the sustainable development of their social capital. For that, we analyze the information provided by the Foundation Nuevo Rumbo de Tecnicos Activistas Comunitarios (NURTAC) of Guayaquil-Ecuador through a unique case study, in a way that investigates the main sources of generation of its social capital, through methodological tools such as a bibliographic review of official documents provided by the same foundation, semi-structured interviews with the internal staff of the organization as well as experts from the CSOs in Ecuador and surveys of the internal and external public of NURTAC. After conducting the research, an exploration was generated as a result of the foundation NURTAC Ecuador-Guayaquil, describing that in this non-profit organization there are characteristics of personal relationships and linking strategies, norms of trust and cooperation that they use in their processes of development and accumulation of social capital, the same ones that have allowed them to sustain their institutional proposal from its beginnings to the present.
