Abstract:

The present investigation was carried out due to the necessit y to identify and to characterize the different rural typologies and the used production systems. Throughout direct surveys to the farmers was gathered information initially on 30 variables, and by means of statistical criterias they were chosen 21 in vestigation variables finally the same ones that allowed to obtain as a result that of the 133 peasants considered in the study, 87.22% of the producers conforms the major denominated group 1, the same one that uses the production system I. The remaining 1 2.78% is distributed among five small groups that use the system of production II. The group 1 was chosen as axis to elaborate the proposal that it is framed inside the agricultural, social and productive characteristics of this grou, such as: low sch ool level, four people's average for family, two children older than 18 years, the family boss is basically farming, they produce for self - consumption, they possess 6.41 parcels separated with an average of 7.761,85 m2, they cultivate 1881,71 m 2 of medic , 3368,71 m 2 corn and 2511,44 m 2 of other products. They possess on average: 2,59 bovine, 1 - 2 swinish, 21,61 minor species, and they obtain $717,12 for net commercialization a year for all their agricultural activities and other insignificant profit s for other activities; they cultivate forest species in poor lands this activity allows them to obtain $472,50 a year.
