Casa Negra, un tesoro oculto. Fotografía de ruina industrial

Abstract:

The principal purpose of this work is to show a portfolio with some industrial ruins photography’s in an artistic way, about the historical ruins in the place of “Casa Negra”, which is located in city of Portovelo in “El Oro” province. The intention of these photos is to recovery the collective memory of the people, so, for this, the author have studied what people know about the history of the gold`s mine in Portovelo and elaborate a deep analysis about esthetic-theory subjects based in sensitive cartography, arts references and artistic photography’s. In order to create these photography’s, the author had to involved in the field where the investigation was being, and recognize many places as well, find places where the photos could be taken for the collection, have a deep knowledge about photography, meet with local miners, and some interviews to technicians who are specialist in this area, all this information is printed in the photography’s with the main objective of being a social reference in the memory of the people of Portovelo.
