Causa más frecuente de obito fetal en pacientes atendidas en el Hospital Enrique C. Sotomayor desde junio 2015 a mayo 2016


Abstract:

The World Health Organization (OMS) defined as fetal death to the death of a product of conception, before his expulsion or extraction complete of its mother's body, regardless of the duration of pregnancy, death is indicated by the fact that after the separation, the fetus does not breathe or gives no other sign of life such as beating of the heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord or effective movement of the muscles of voluntary contraction. The objective of this study will be to determine the cause of fetal death in patients treated in the SurgicalHospital Gineco-obstetrical Enrique C.Sotomayor. tocoquirurgica area. He has been established that the main causes of higher incidence in patients with outcome of fetal death, its results were: Placental Abruption, preterm premature rupture of membrane, maternal age, also the weeks of gestation it was concluded with higher prevalence and history of fetal death as a trigger of this health problem. The universe was given by the data collected from June 2015 and March 2016 of patients treated at the hospital which took a sample of 130 patients who had as diagnostic fetal death. These data that had increased frequency of fetal death was the maternal age between 23-28 years, who stood out with a 40.7%, followed by premature rupture of membranes with the 56.9% in the gestational age between 20-28 weeks, which corresponds to 73.8%. It is expected to show during the study since June 2015 until March 2016 that a prenatal care is one of procedures more reliable so a diagnostic will take early pathologies during pregnancy that will improve the quality of life and thus prevent more cases of fetal death
