Abstract:

It deals with the focal development of the Architectural Project and its urban implications, of two important topics such as Tourism and Cultural Heritage; It is proposed that this last aspect assumes the importance that corresponds to it, as an ancestral seat of one of the most important Aboriginal cultures of pre-Columbian Ecuador. The project has been developed following each of the phases that comprise the project cycle; That is: the Prefeasibility and Feasibility of the Project has been analyzed, so that the architectural project is the result of an analysis involving the physical part: location, dimensioning; Financial: project cost; Environmental: analysis of environmental impacts; Economic: impact of the project on the development of society; In order to arrive at the design of an architectural environmental structure that is the result of the confrontation of the needs with the possibilities. For the proposal, within the Prefeasibility of the Project, it was analyzed the appropriateness of reusing the facilities of the old Hospital, which is located in the vicinity of the most important referent of the village: the Shiriculapo or opt for a land located within the urban perimeter that presented the Conditions for its implementation. From the analysis of some variables, condensed through a weighted model was determined as the most optimal to the first. Thus, in the final project, architectural spaces are adapted and rehabilitated for their new function. The project includes spaces for the development of various activities such as: passive recreation areas, museum, permanent exhibition areas, temporary, reservations, accommodation area , Tours through ecological trails in an area planted as a botanical garden, intended for basically student groups of different levels and area for researchers, auditorium and social hall for the development of activities corresponding to the social dynamics of the village. It is important to emphasize the reproduction of the topology of vernacular housing with all its additions, furnishings, that allows the visitor to know in situ ways of life that still persist in the rural areas of our province. Formally it has been tried not to fall in a foiclorismo, nor in the mythification of the popular culture, although important typological elements of the constructions of the site are taken up, has been included deliberately, modern elements that show a clear typomorfológica reading and that define the Temporality of the place. In order to achieve a personal, more communicative and more architectural graphic expression, the author includes perspectives worked with techniques such as watercolor and airbrushing, giving him greater graphic-expressive richness to the project.
