Challenges and continuities in the improvement of tourism professionals


Abstract:

The changes that have taken place in recent years, both in tourism management and in the behavior of consumers of tourism products, have led to the need to improve human resources; to identify such needs a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive observational study was conducted. It was held in the first half of 2017 with the participation of 25 tourism graduates from five universities in Ecuador. The variables studied were the preferences in the areas of knowledge, the completion of postgraduate studies, the place where they were carried out, reasons for not doing them and undergraduate assessment; to collect the necessary information a survey was carried out. As a result, it was obtained that the communication and the techniques of management and for their work obtained a 100% of requests, learning of new languages 92%, like maximum hierarchy in the necessities.
