Charge transport in three-terminal molecular junctions incorporating sulfur-end-functionalized tercyclohexylidene spacers


Abstract:

Molecular wires based on through-bond interaction: Strong currents and a gate effect are observed in three terminal conduction devices incorporating σ-π-σ conjugated tercyclohexylidenes. The gate characteristics differ substantially from those of devices based on π-conjugated compounds. (Figure Presented). © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
