A whole-cell neurosensor: Simulation of summed asynchronous neural activity


Abstract:

We describe a Markov chain representation for the summed asynchronous neural discharge currents of neurons grown on an electrode surface. We show that the spectrum of the recorded current signal can be used to characterize the type of neuron on the electrode. © 2002 IEEE.
