A43 CASE REPORTS: INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE: Lipoid Pneumonia In Latin-American Woman

Abstract:

DISCUSSION LN is thought to be caused by a chronic foreign body reaction towards inhaled exogenous lipid droplets. Symptomatic patients most frequently present with chronic cough or dyspnea, but in our case it was a finding because the patients no report lower respiratory symptoms. A CT showed an adipose-containing mass. The presence of fat in the mass is, with a few exceptions, a diagnostic feature of exogenous LN.
