Clima social escolar, desde la percepción de estudiantes y profesores del séptimo año de educación básica de los centros educativos Unidad Politécnica Kennedy y Escuela Rafael María Arízaga de la ciudad de Cuenca, cantón Cuenca, provincia del Azuay, 2011 2012


Abstract:

The aim of this research is to know the pedagogical management and the social climate of the classroom as measure elements and description of environment in which the educational process develops in the 7th year of basic education in “Unidad Politécnica Kennedy” and rural school “Rafael María Arízaga”. The educational institutions are located in Cuenca city, Azuay province, in the academic period 2011- 2012. Furthermore, the research was transactional/transversal, exploratory, and descriptive. The methods were analytic, synthetic, inductive, deductive, hermeneutic, and statistical. In addition, the techniques were direct observation, surveys, reading, conceptual maps, and graphic organizers. Finally, questionnaires of Moos and Trickett were used to gather information with adaptation to Ecuadorian reality made by Universidad Técnica Particular of Loja, a questionnaire to self-evaluation about management of teacher learning and an observation sheet for the researcher. The study concludes that the educational institutions do have not a good climate inside the classroom due to the lack of communication between students and teachers; the research recommends an active participation of students and teachers should implements techniques to create a dynamic environment in class.
