Communication as the center of the new norm ISO 26000 guides for EnterpriseSocial Responsibility


Abstract:

The communication is in the centre of the businesses, the economic activity and the society. A international committee of five thousand of experts from 72 countries elaborates a norm at the moment guides international ISO 26000 for the standardization of the application of enterprise social responsibility (ESR). By means of that new norm ISO, that will appear officially in 2009, the communication it happens to become the heart of it. The central general principles not only are the ethical responsibility and its reputation, but also the recognition of the right of the parts interested to being listened and to have of the organization to respond as well as the integration of the social responsibility in the vision, mission, policies and strategies. From the proposal of contents that is anticipated for new norm ISO 26000 it analyzes and it evaluates the index of existing application of the ESR between the main companies of communication and technologies of the information.
