Community tourism as a strategy for the visibility and appreciation of the musical memory of the Kichwa people of Imbabura.


Abstract:

Ecuador is a country of extraordinary natural and cultural wealth, is represented by 14 nationalities and 19 indigenous peoples of African descent. This multiculturalism is the cultural heritage of ancient settlements that one way or another are in effect through tangible and intangible heritage of diverse Ecuador. In the following Ecuadorian music rhythms are recognized: albazo (indigenous, mestizos); Typical air (mixed race); Alza (mixed race); Capishca (mixed race); Dancer; Fox Inca (indigenous, mixed race/fox trot); Pasacalle (mixed race); Hall (mixed race); Sanjuanito; Yaraví; Tune; Yumbo; Marimba; Abago; Short water; Long water; Amazonian; Amorfino; Andarele; Broken rice; Caderona; Bomb; Cachullapi; Chigualo; Costillark; Curiquingue; Habanera; Waltz, among others. Party as Black Mama; The Coraza; The Feast of Corpus Cristi, Pawcar Raymi; Inti Raymi; Koya/Killa Raimy; Kapak Raimy among others. Tourism becomes the strategy for the sustainable use of cultural resources of the Kichwa population. About 150 community tourism operations are currently registered throughout Ecuador, of which 45% are concentrated in the province of Imbabura, 85% of Kichwa initiative. Currently 33 or Kichwa indigenous enterprises, of which 60% are operating Otavalo initiative; Karanki 37% to 3% Pueblo and the Natabuela. In connection with the offering, the 85.45% in community shelters housing markets, local cuisine, guidance services, traditional medicine and 19% offer agribusiness and agro products.
