Comparative study of methodologies for the estimation of chargeability of distribution transformers

Abstract:

The overdimension of transformers in rural areas occurs very frequently because the methodology for their designing is highly overestimated. This is why a comparative study of chargeability calculations of transformers is performed, using consumption data of connected clients, field type data, and measurement by a FLUKE device. Statistics will allow an appreciation of the difference of values that are estimated by each method in order to appreciate the result of chargeability for both current and projected transformers as well as the percentage of loss of life given the obtained values.
