Abstract:

The starting point for the development of this research was based on the idea that while the issue of competitive advantage and cost, both differentially, appeared as a research topic of many articles the specific issue of competitive advantage and costs, ie the role of strategic cost management to develop a competitive advantage had been less considered in the literature. A literature review was performed using the Google Scholar regarding the appearance of terms: competitive advantage, competitive advantage and costs, costs. All revisions were made for the period 2000-2015. The analysis of the literature revealed that the issue of competitive advantage and cost has been poorly treated and only 6 references in Google Scholar, with a near-zero impact on the scientific community according to the number of citations found..
