Complicaciones de parto vaginal en pacientes con cesáreas anteriores estudio a realizarse en el Hospital Universitario durante el período de mayo del 2016 - abril del 2017

Abstract:

Introduction: The development of vaginal births has now been determined as an alternative with a high safety index in patients who have undergone previous cesareans. This has been determined because no increase in the risk of mortality or development of complications has been found in both the mother and fetal level, where uterine rupture is the only pathology associated with this, representing 0.5% of all these cases. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional investigation, with a descriptive, non-experimental analysis and a retrospective approach, in which a database was used as a source of information, composed of patients of mothers admitted under the ICD diagnostic code. -10 O75.7, corresponding to Vaginal Delivery with a previous cesarean, approval of the Teaching area, granted by the Statistics Department of the University Hospital of Guayaquil. Results: An analysis was made of the distribution of cases of urinary tract infection in pregnant women according to the development of neonatal death at the time of delivery, finding that only 11% of the sample (11 cases) died at the time of delivery or 24 hours after it, while the remaining 89 cases were left in good condition. Based on this, a direct association is determined, since it is found in 1 out of 10 cases, between vaginal delivery with previous cesarean section and neonatal death. (p <0.005) Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a slight risk of developing perinatal neonatal death or up to 24 hours of it, with the main complication being the development of hemorrhage during labor.
