AN ANALYSIS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE QUALITY PATIENT SAFETY SUBJECT IN THE MEDICAL SCHOOL PROGRAM


Abstract:

This article presents a research conducted with the purpose of assessing and proposing the implementation of the subject of Quality Patient Safety in the Medical Degree Program of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes, in Ambato to improve the academic curriculum. The aim is to improve care based on quality and patient safety through surveys directed to teachers and students of 9 semesters through a message to a key teacher who was responsible for sending the link to the survey to all 54 teachers, and 50 students of 9 semesters in number of 50 via WhatsApp that because of the pandemic of Covit-19 are unable to conduct the survey in person. The results obtained have shown that teachers and students give high importance to this subject and agree with its implementation.
