Comprobación del cumplimiento de los requisitos técnicos requeridos por los fabricantes de los Motores de Encendido Provocado y de la normativa ecuatoriana NTE INEN 2027: 2011 …
Abstract:
The present study carried out the characterization of 6 samples of lubricating oils (AL) selected as the most commercialized. The results were compared with the technical requirements established by the manufacturers of the MEP, as well as those of the Ecuadorian regulation NTE INEN 2027:2011. The analyzed oils were named as follows; A00, K00, M00, S00, T00, and V00. The comparison concluded that 5 of the 6 samples meet all the requirements of the INEN standard. Adittionally, it was found that the K00 sample showed the best values in almost all the parameters analyzed, except in BN. It was also found that all ALs contained at least 4 of the 5 types of wear particles. In addition, it was determined that K00 incorporated a greater number of additives and M00 contained the least amount of additives. The sample that presented the most negative differences regarding to its technical sheet was V00, while K00 presented less variability. However, the differences for samples K00, M00 and S00 were minimal. Finally, the requirements of the manufacturers were compared to the analyzed properties of each AL. From this analysis, it was found that of all the LAs used in this study, only two brands are considered by the manufacturer for their use. However, the SAE of these two brands is not the same since the recommendation is oriented to European countries or countries with a weather with marked seasons.
