Computational model of primary care services for patients with COPD

Abstract:

The modeling and simulation techniques to support the design and decision making in medical services is an increasingly used strategy. This paper presents a computational model developed to simulate the medical care of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in order to support decision making in the design of a telemedicine system for these patients. The agent-based model (MBA) is presented, which has been verified and contrasted with the operation of a primary care service.
