Computer aided analysis of slowpoke mini-reactor heat pump cogeneration system


Abstract:

The thermodynamic behavior of a proposed cogeneration cycle has been presented. This includes Computer Aided Analysis (CAA) of a Freon SLOWPOKE Rankine cycle coupled with an absorption heat pump system. The heating and cooling loads of some typical applications have been simulated. Various scenarios have been proposed to meet the energy demands in these applications. It is evident from this study that the implementation of the proposed dual-cycle results in substantial gains in both the net conversion efficiency of the Rankine cycle and the overall coefficient of performance of the cogeneration cycle. © 1990.
