Computerized mathematical model to determine corrosion costs
Abstract:
In most industries, corrosion control is not considered a separate category of operating costs. Rather, it usually is included in general maintenance operations - a procedure that masks the real costs of corrosion. Corrosion costs must be separated to determine how much is spent on corrosion and its control and the impact these costs have on budgets and profits. This article presents a computerized mathematical model that allows for reliable and consistent processing of this information.
