Conception of interculturality in the National University of Chimborazo: A proposal for profesional training from cultural diversity

Abstract:

In the context of university transformation processes that is advance in Ecuador, appears the interculturality as a demanding challenge and a fundamental requeriment which houses higher education have not yet responded in comprehensive manner. For this reason, the central purpose of this this research proposal is to generate curriculum guidelines for organizing the conception of interculturality in the training model of the National University of Chimborazo (UNACH). The importance of interculturality approach of higher education highlights, by the need to train professionals in different areas, from an anthropological perspective of valuation, recognition, integration and equal conditions, in a context of cultural diversity to overcome exclusion, discrimination and segregation as social problems.
