Concepts Game Theory Applied in Smart Grid

Abstract:

The smart grid is conceived as a large-scale system that includes advanced power, communications, control and information technologies. To adapt these technologies, we must work on mathematical tools and solid techniques that can ensure the exchange of information, an efficient operation, improving in many cases the technical losses of energy and raise their indexes of quality and reliability, making the network capable of to solve any problem especially in the management of demand, customer management, decision making, energy exchange, energy storage, contingency plans, geo-referenced information systems, among others. In this context, this article presents an overview of the potential of applying game theory to address smart electric networks, providing a systematic treatment.
