Conceptual mapping as a tool to understand the causes of traffic accidents

Abstract:

Ecuadorian society today is concerned about traffic accidents, especially those that take human lives. These attract the attention of the media and sow alarm in the community. This social phenomenon needs to be studied and awareness raised in order to achieve its mitigation. So it is established as an objective, to achieve the understanding of the causes determine the causes of the phenomenon to create road awareness and contribute to the reduction of them. For this purpose, concept maps will be used as learning and knowledge tools, supported by techniques for the search of causes such as brainstorming, the techniques of the 5 why’s. Once conceptually mapped the causes of road accidents, it was possible to reach conclusions, which include the opinion of experts consulted.
