Conceptual oncoming about modalities of tourism and its new approaches

Abstract:

This paper is to specify different fundamental types of existing tourism, as well as its relevance to Ecuador. The method of content analysis and analytical-synthetic was used to clarify the points of view of various authors on the subject. From the perspectives of sustainable, responsible and ethical tourism, the essential features of rural tourism, ecotourism, agro tourism, cultural tourism, gastronomic tourism, religious tourism are specified, which are part of the broad spectrum of ways to develop this relevant activity today.
