The aim is to create awareness in adolescents about the consequences of unprotected sexual activity, considering that adolescence is the period of greatest contagion of the Human Papilloma Virus, due to the beginning of early sexual relations or because their appearance is not apparent injuries, contagion is facilitated GENERAL OBJECTIVE: identify the risk behaviors and level of knowledge about the human papillomavirus in adolescents from 15 to 19 years of age of the "Técnico Industrial Ricaurte" 2017 school. METHODOLOGY: the research was quantitative and descriptive, we worked with a universe of 450 adolescents of which a sample was taken of 196 students from 15 to 19 years old who attend the Ricaurte Industrial Technical College. The instrument of Fidias, 2008 was used to evaluate the level of knowledge. To assess the risk behaviors, a survey elaborated by Centeno J was applied. The results are described in frequency and percentage tables; using programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, the statistical package SPSS version 23. RESULTS: the population studied was found% of: sex 51% men 49% women; marital status 92.3% single, 1.5% married, 6.1% in free union; age 54.1% 15 years, 20.9% 16 years, 19.4% 17 years, 5.1% 18 years, 0.5% 19 years; 9.2% does not reach the required learning, 20.9% is close to reaching them, 44.4% of adolescents achieve the required learning, 19.9% master learning and 5.6% overcome the required learning about HPV; in terms of risk behavior and age, the relationship was 0.018; significant value among the variables analyzed. CONCLUSIONS: Predominant risk behaviors are evident in students who have started their sexual activity and have more than one sexual partner. An important group claims not to know about the consequences of getting infected with HPV
