Construction of electrical logs for wells in the “Shushufindi” field using dynamic data inversion in geostatistical models
Abstract:
The objective of this work is to obtain curves from electrical registers of wells that do not have information from simulated models of facies and petrophysical properties generated by using data from neighboring wells using software from the oil industry. For this purpose, there are 15 wells in the Shushufindi field of the Ecuadorian East basin with information on wellheaders, formation caps, surveys and electrical records (3 of them do not have formation caps or electrical records). This information is provided through the Decision Space Geoscience and Openworks platforms which allow analysis through their 3D cube windows, 2D map, seismic sections, well correlations, etc., and in turn generated surfaces, structural frames, geostatistical mesh, vertical proportion curves and finally the facies models (using multigaussian simulation algorithm) and petrophysical properties (using gaussian sequential algorithm). As a result, the volumetric calculation was generated with which the best performance is estimated using probability indices to reproduce models of all existing well logs. In this way, the dynamic investment process was carried out and the complete set of records was obtained in the wells lacking information. As a complement, by means of petrophysical interpretation, the formational caps in these wells were determined and a general correlation of the field was made.
