Contacto lingüístico entre el español andino y la lengua kichwa

Abstract:

The contact between languages has been growing steadily and over the centuries. To master a language deals with a series of previous learnings that go from the purely phonetic ones for the orality, to the semantic ones and syntactic for the writing; even more so when you want to develop the purity of the language in the midst of the coexistence of others. The objective of the research is to analyze the linguistic contact between the Kichwa language and the Andean Spanish language. For the collection of information, 10 bilingual Kichwa teachers-Spanish speakers from the upper area of Pilahuín, Tungurahua province, and 10 indigenous professionals from other areas were interviewed to inquire about the possibilities of linguistic mixing expressed in everyday life. In the population. It was a semi-structured interview, with a guiding question, in the affirmative case, the professors had to specify some examples. A survey was also applied to 50 professional people among Kichwa speakers as Spanish speakers of the central zone of Ecuador. The existence and coexistence between indigenous Kichwa and Spanish-speaking communities implies the contact of languages. When this contact occurs, new forms usually appear that are neither one language nor another, but a mixture of both. Although this mixture of languages will be found in individuals, we have considered it within the topic of social bilingualism to make it clear that we are facing the emergence of new forms that are the result of social bilingualism.
