Contribution of the agricultural sector to the economy of Ecuador. Critical analysis of its evolution in the period of dollarization. Years 2000 - 2016

Abstract:

The objective is to analyze comparatively the performance of the agricultural sector in the periods 2000-2006 and 2007-2016. The methodology is descriptive, with the use of information from the ECB, MAGAP, INEC and FAO. The results show that, despite the efforts of the State and the application of public policies, the debt with the agricultural sector is maintained, because the agricultural revolution did not materialize, some indicators remain the same and have become a structural.
