Control and monitoring system under ethernet and modbus rtu protocols in the control of conveyor systems for beverage bottling line

Abstract:

The conveyor belts of the beverage filling line for the different presentations of 355, 500, 1500 milliliters, are operating in manual mode, ie the operator must necessarily open the control panel and power, to start the motors one by one and vary its speed according to the need of work, generating unsafe working conditions in violation of the industrial safety policy and exposing their physical integrity to possible electrocution, there is also a high energy consumption, due to the fact that the motors are running all the time, resulting in anticipated mechanical wear of the components of the conveyor belt system. The objective of this research, based on the reengineering of the structure of the control panel and power of the existing equipment, and those projected for the future growth of the production line, an implementation of equipment with industrial networks will be made, improving the efficiency in communication between equipment using Ethernet for the interface HMI-PLC, and Modbus RS-485 to control the actuators and frequency variators.
