Control of a prototype for the classification of copper


Abstract:

The purpose of the paper is to add solutions to the recognition and transport of minerals copper mining in southern Ecuador, using tools that have MATLAB® and LabVIEW®. The algorithm developed in MATLAB® using the principles of image processing to segment and filters the same. Finally applies the theory of neuro-fuzzy for the recognition of the presence of copper in a rock that is modeled. Is important to add that with a LabVIEW® application, movement of a conveyor belt is controlled with a PID block. The control of the utilized electric motor allows accomplishing the start, the regulation of speed, the braking, reversing the direction of travel, as well as the maintenance of the regimen of its functioning, according to the requirements of the technological process. The speed control software handles database that records the variables based on instructions via csv format. This database stores the variables such as: measured speed, established speed (Sep point), output voltage, Temperature 1, Temperature 2 Temperature 3 and finally the variable manipulated by the controller, which is the output voltage from the Compact FieldPoint 2020 until the variador of three-phase frequency that controls AC motor.
